With everything at home, I've realized I have to actually carve out time for my school work whether that be after dinner or staying a few minutes after class is dismissed to get all my online work done. Or possibly taking away some luxury days and using the Graphics Lab on days when I'm not scheduled to be on campus. I just have to use all my time wisely so I don't fall behind.
Also, with recently when I was in an accident in the middle of the week. I didn't have much time to do my work because of all the precautions and the hospital trip my family and I had to take after the crash. I was freaking out about everyone's injuries AND my school. I didn't know what I was suppose to do because I didn't want to miss school but I wasn't sure if I was capable of attending the next day. I remembered that I had to communicate with my professor about it. I was so worried about so many factors all at once that I didn't know how to tell my professor. All in all, he understood and has helped me with everything I had to do know about my situation. I'm very grateful that all of this has worked out and didn't get worse.
I guess, life is just so unexpected that you can't predict what's going to happen in the next minute. And if I wouldn't of talked to my professor about my situation, I wouldn't have the best grade or so. Just remember that you're instructors are people too and they go or have gone through similar situations like you so they'll be able to help.
Thanks for listening and I hope you become more vocal with others around you. Who knows? Anyone can help. It all starts with communication.
